How to estimate flooring

Flooring is bought by the box, each covering a set number of square feet. Measure the room area, add about 10% for cuts (more for diagonal or herringbone layouts), then divide by the coverage per box and round up to whole boxes.

Keep an extra box for future repairs. Set your box price and per-square-foot install time in Settings and CraftTools prices the whole floor — materials plus labor — into a client-ready quote.
