How to estimate siding
Siding is sold by the square (100 sq ft). Add up the exterior wall area, subtract large openings like doors and garage doors, then add about 10% waste for cuts, corners and trim. Divide the net area by 100 to get squares.
Set your price per box or square and your per-square install time in Settings; CraftTools totals materials and labor into a client quote. Walls with many corners, gables and windows need more waste than a simple rectangle.
